Want to know how to get promotion with the Order? Here are some sample Promotion rules based on what was used in WoW, these will change.

Masters

To give sustained, constructive assistance and support to the Apprentice in finding his feet amongst the Templars. The Master is the one who sets the example to the Apprentice on how a Templar is expected to conduct himself, both within the Guild and towards all others; he will make every effort to answer all of the Apprentices's queries with patience, helping the Apprentice to gain an answer elsewhere if that is necessary. The Master is also the first line of pastoral care for the Apprentice and should therefore take an interest in his progress and well being, taking what steps he may to ensure that the Apprentice feels a welcomed and valued part of the Order.
The Master is also responsible for setting the Knighthood task that an Esquire must complete in order to earn his Knighthood. This task may be social, involve exploration or combat, but must be within the ethos and principles of the Order and the game.
When the Esquire finally meets the requirements to be considered for promotion to Knight, his Master should be prepared to testify to the good conduct of the Esquire and must stand with the Esquire at the ceremony of promotion and signify his approval. Where a Master cannot be present at the promotion ceremony, his approval must be given to the Officers in advance. Without approval, no promotion can be given. By giving his approval, the Master indicates to the Order that he is satisfied that the Esquire adheres to the principles and core values of the Order, participates in the immersive environment (both in groups with other Templars and over the guild  orb), follows the chain of command (including bringing any grievance in the first place to the attention of Templar Officers), attends the weekly meeting wherever possible and reads information in the guildhall regularly and frequently.

Additional policies for Masters:

  1. If one of your Apprentices has been absent from the game for more than 24 days, please remove him from your list. Please send the Apprentice an in-game mail explaining the situation and contact the Recruitment officer about it, either in game or via the contact page on this website.
  2. You can have no more than three Apprentices.
  3. Please make sure your list of Apprentices on the Master board is up to date, if any changes have occured.
  4. Try to be in contact with your Apprentice(s) as much as you can. See it as a possiblity to role-play, develop your character and have fun.

Apprentices

New Esquires will be assigned a group of  Masters upon reaching their new rank.
Apprentices are expected to honour and respect their Masters at all times, as they are a source of knowledge and support, guidance and assistance. To follow the example set by their Master in regards to matters both within the Guild and towards all other Destriuction allies. To act only so as to bring honour upon their Master and upon the Order.

Additional policies for Apprentices:

  1. If you have not been in contact with your Master much at all, because you have not been online at the same time, please contact one of the officers so we can assign you a different Master. It's no use having a Master you don't see.
  2. If you have not been in contact with your Master much for any other reason, do your best to change that. Try to see any contact with your Master as a chance to role-play and to improve your gaming experience (and have fun!).
